Thought to function as the predominant fatty acid protein transporter in heart.,similarity:Belongs to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family.,subcellular location:In heart is exclusively located on the sarcolemma in areas juxtaposed with small blood vessels where it colocalizes CD36.,tissue specificity:Strongly expressed in heart and localizes to cardiac myocytes.
