背景:
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein that forms one of the two chains of a receptor for interferons alpha and beta. Binding and activation of the receptor stimulates Janus protein kinases , which in turn phosphorylate several proteins , including STAT1 and STAT2. Function:Receptor for interferons alpha and beta. Binding to type I IFNs triggers tyrosine phosphorylation of a number of proteins including JAKs , TYK2 , STAT proteins and IFNR alpha- and beta-subunits themselves. ,PTM:Phosphorylated on tyrosine residues by TYK2 tyrosine kinase. ,sequence Caution:Contaminating sequence. Potential poly-A sequence. ,similarity:Belongs to the type II cytokine receptor family. ,similarity:Contains 3 fibronectin type-III domains. ,tissue specificity:IFN receptors are present in all tissues and even on the surface of most IFN-resistant cells. Isoform 1 , isoform 2 and isoform 3 are expressed in the IFN-alpha sensitive myeloma cell line U266S. Isoform 2 and isoform 3 are expressed in the IFN-alpha resistant myeloma cell line U266R , isoform 1 is not expressed in U266R. ,
